hm! lab3!
If you'd like to submit some ascii artwork here, please e-mail it in a text attachment (so as to preserve the line breaks and such)
to me@six-thousand-chicken-fa-ji-tas.org listing the following:

- your name, e-mail and or site URL
- a name or description for your creation
- the font(s) it looks best in
- the size of that font it looks best in (in pixels... or points, if you don't know)
- any other notes about your creation (if you have to look at it sideways, on drugs, etc. LOL)

side notes:
- Please make sure you specify exactly what font (size and type) your ascii artwork looks best in. (So I may display it properly.) If it looks good in more than one font, make sure to note that too.

- You may use any font you desire... however, if it's not a basic font (e.g. Arial, Verdana, etc) and you don't remember where you downloaded it from and or I don't have it in my 1,000+ font collection, then I might ask you to e-mail a copy of it to me (I'll let you know first) so that everyone can view your creation the way it was meant to be viewed... unless you're blind, I can't help you there.

- I discourage use of fancy symbols like •, §, etc... i mean, you can try (i used a few myself), but for some reason, (at least, for me) when i put certain ones in a textarea in my browser, it reads them as different symbols :P

- If you want, you may also send in a decorated or "finished" colored version to display as well. (please let me know if you wish to do so first, before e-mailing it to me though.) However, no submissions with JUST a "finished" version will be displayed, the whole point of sending in the text version is to prove you arranged the characters yourself without the aide of the "move" tool, hehe

- Moreover, I will also not display submissions that I know for a fact aren't original creations. examples include: the "rose" [i HIGHLY doubt the original creator will come across this site, and then want to submit their work. LOL], the "pooh bear", and any other common fwd-ed picture (hehe, as mentioned in my intro). I also won't display any common emoticons... in fact, emoticons in general will probably not be displayed because everyone knows them, and no one knows who originally came up with them (and seeing as how they're not that hard to come up with, i'm sure multiple people have come up with the same face.) In other words, no :) ^_^ :O) ;_; etc.

- I realize there is the chance of coincidences where two people may have almost identical creations (which they both claim are originals). . . that's a tough call. Depending on the situation I may trust someone's word over someone else's, and in other cases I might ask for proof from both parties (Jesus, this is a damn site about ascii art! Does the phrase "proof from both parties" really belong here? LOLOL) to see who created their piece first (right now I'm thinking I would look at the "date created" date in the file's info/properties window.) Anyway, I think this is just going to be a "wait and see" kind of thing. And I really hope that never has to happen, because it'd really suck to have a fun thing like this turn ugly :P
